In terms of company status, women may have more power in Britain. This is absolutely impossible in Japan.

Wage

In Britain, as in Japan, there are differences in wages. However, in Britain these days, equal pay for equal work with men is increasing. From the mid-1970s to the present, the gender wage gap has been decreasing.

Because of that image, there is still an image that women have to do housework. However, I think anyone can do housework. If a woman works longer than a man, I think it’s okay for a man to do the housework, and I don’t think there is a rule that a woman will do the housework. Recently, there is a tendency for men to do household chores more and more. I think it’s getting closer to equality little by little.

Childcare leave is the same as housework. There is an image that childcare is something that women do, but that is not the case. If a woman is working she must take maternity leave. Therefore, it may be difficult for her to take childcare leave after giving birth if she is on maternity leave. Therefore, I think men should take turns taking childcare leave. By doing so, I think that women will feel better.

Wage

The difference in wages between Japanese women and men is still a problem. Even if they work the same amount as men, the wages of women are cheaper, and even if women work longer hours, the wages of men are higher. There are also problems such as not being able to get overtime pay. Wages for the amount of work do not hold. By doing so, you may not be able to take a vacation or you may be mentally ill. I think we should think more about women.
